Now that I Can Dance

Oh the sweet melody

It reminds me of how it used to be

I remember when I was young

I didn’t understand that I could move

But now I’m older

And all I know is this body

It won’t stay still

I shift all across the floor

Following the beat

And swaying back and forth

I started off slow

Then I began to move more

Vigorously

I danced with a partner

But no one danced better than

You and me

I’m sure gonna miss it

But it’s never to late

Maybe in the future

We could set a date

Until then I’ll be dancing

With someone new

And as I see it

The dance floor waits for no one

You either dance or you don’t love

So why not shake your body

Jubilate your soul
