See the wind blows so differently
On a day like today
Everyone out shopping
Cooking
Eating
Living like this was always the way
It’s like all the world put
On a play
Actors on display
You all pretend to say
What you really wanna say
But how are you grateful
For only one day
Knowing bills are coming up to pay
Knowing work is tomorrow
You couldn’t possibly stay
Everyone has gone a stray
Their spirit they are bound
To betray
Because you appear grateful now
But watch when the month is May
You all act as if the world is
Not okay
And inside you suffer
Yes, you slowly decay
Following the lay of the land
Oh my how you all obey
Moving like rats in a maze
In a dance
How you all just sway
Well I’m here to tell you
You’re all just prey
They lie to you each and every day
If only you’d find out
You wouldn’t be in such dismay
Every time the world
Doesn’t seem to go your way
You’d smile, laugh
And you’d probably come out and say
“Maybe that’s how things go today, tomorrow or even an hour from now things won’t look so gray”
Do this constantly and you may see
Positivity start to lay
The bricks of the home in which you choose
To stay
Or don’t then make yourself a survey
Analyze yourself day to day
Especially what you do, think and say
Compose it together
In array
Find out what your own conclusions
Portray
Are you a grateful person
Or really just today?
Does that answer make you happy or disarray
It’s never to late to change
Build a new you like clay
Become more grateful
Laugh, love, play
Nothing is stopping you
From living this way
Just don’t delay
Or you may replay
The sadness the gray
It’s all about how
You act, what you say
If you must, just smile and pray
And I’m sure
Sooner than later
Everything will be okay
