I’ve been thinking today

When you said you loved me

When did it change?

It was in your eyes the last time

I saw you

The sad expression

Was almost too sad to bear

But in your eyes I still seen love there

Was it when you seen me go crazy?

Was it when you lied to my face?

Or was it when you tried to erase me?

But I never seem to fade

When did love change?

When you found someone else?

When you were cold and alone

On the floor

Knowing I was gone for good?

The part of me that loved you

Never died

It’s just that little voice in your head

That tells you lies

Because unlike you

When I say I love you

I meant every letter

From dear to sincerely

You become a part of me

And moving on isn’t quite that easy

I’ve whispered your name

In the dark

Hoping you pop up out of nowhere

But no luck at all

You’ve vanished into thin air

While it hurts often

I’ve learned to embrace

The pain

Because to me it’s a reminder

That love still remains
