Flowers that Bloom in Fall

I began researching flowers that

Bloom in fall

But noticed there wasn’t any at all

Maybe weeds or roots

But no flowers with colors

Bloomed

Then I wondered what made fall so

Hateful

That it wouldn’t allow the flowers to

Shine

It’s quite distasteful

I knew if I tried I could

So I planted a seed

No one thought I should

I watered it for days

Watched it for hours

Talked to the ground

Like it was my pal

But nothing grew

And so I knew

This wasn’t the season for

Flowers

But something changed

The seed grew wings

And out sprouted

The most beautiful thing

I named it the best name

Jazmin

Because to me this flower

Was personal

This flower

Was never meant to grow

But out the soil it shed

It’s old habits and sooner or later

Out of darkness she fled

Making the new world of light

Her bed

She was the most beautiful

The most powerful

Flower of them all

The only one to bloom in fall!
