I have been there for you

I’ve done things I’ve never done

For anyone

But you don’t see that do you?

You only remember the bad

Never the good

And I find it sad

That I tried as hard as I could

When all I should’ve done

Is leave you alone

Just like you wanted

But I have such a kind soul

I cared long after

Things got real old

I will never give up this

Kindness that I hold

But maybe I should protect it

Before I turn cold

I’m not trying to tell you what to do

But I’d keep close the ones who

Care about you

Otherwise you’ll be alone

Wishing for someone to love

And finding it hard, trust
