Time of the Month

I guess it’s about that time again

My emotions on a roller coaster ride again

Pain in my neck, feet and back again

Hungry and sleepy once again

Changing to a new woman

Shedding all the old me

My mind is a bit jumbled

I’m becoming a new queen

I’m in the process of evolving

So it takes a bit of pain

A little fog to my brain

And I rejoice in my womanhood

Next month I’ll do it all again

But once it’s gone

I feel brighter and lighter

This vibrant color is just a reminder

That I have deep passion inside me

It comes from real deep

And in the end

I’m really a survivor
